Clove was listed in Hildegard’s Medicine, a compilation by highly regarded Benedictine Herbalists, Hildegard of Bingen (1098-1179). Native to the Maluku Islands of Indonesia, the clove tree is a tropical evergreen species that produces thousands of small, fragrant flower buds. These buds are harvested when they ripen to a deep red color, then dried and steam distilled to produce the essential oil. Clove Vitality has a warm, spicy flavor that can be used in place of the ground spice in your favorite recipes. DIRECTIONS
